The California Legislature released the maps one day after Gov. Gavin Newsom kicked off a redistricting campaign.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) is hoping that by stealing five House seats from Republicans in 2026, he can rally Democrats to his presidential campaign in 2028.
