Marvel's "Fantastic Four" will remain No. 1 at the box office as two newcomers, "The Naked Gun" and "Bad Guys 2," land on the big screen.

Disney/Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is having a, well, fantastic start to its box office run. Including $24.5 million from Thursday previews, the film has earned a domestic opening day of $57 million and is headed for an industry estimated $123.5 million opening weekend.

In the United States and Canada, Superman has now surpassed the total gross of Ryan Coogler's Sinners (which finished its run in the region making $278.6 million), and despite being released one-and-a-half weeks later, it is only about $12 million short of overtaking Jurassic World: Rebirth as the third biggest film of 2025 on the domestic chart.
