PETA sues popular festival for ‘steaming lobsters alive’
PETA is suing the Maine Lobster Festival, saying that by steaming live lobsters, the festival is violating Maine’s law prohibiting the torture and torment of animals. The lawsuit is asking the court to declare the festival a public nuisance and for an injunction prohibiting the steaming of lobsters on public land.
